El Norte

The undemocratic racist forces in control of the US have always had a rabid determination to silence all effective voices of desent in America, especially those dynamic voices among oppressed, non-white communities. A policy of extermination was, and still is, applied to those individuals and groups which represents a serious challenge to the status quo.
For example, witness the annihilation of radical groups, and the assassination and imprisonment of their leaders and supporters. Witness the money spent on prisons versus that spent on schools, health care and so on. The US have more people in prison, per capita, than any other country in the world.
Since the age of 15 when he joined the Black Panter Party, Mumia Abu Jamal have been followed and targeted by the FBI in an attempt to silence his active voice. This African-American political activist, world famous journalist, author of the book, "Live from Death Row", eloquent speaker, loving father and grandfather, was unjustly convicted in 1981, and sentenced to death on August 17th, 1995, by the racist judicial system in Philadelphia, PA.
Mumia is one of the many innocent political prisoners in America who have given their lives in support of the fight for freedom, justice, equality for all peoples, not just white males. Mumia's life long resistence and strength against racist brutality in America should inspire us all. We must not let them take this brother from us. Please join us in the struggle to save Mumia. Join the peoples of South Africa, France, Germany, Japan, and all over the world in the fight to save Mumia.
