Reparations Links
Reparation (n.) 1. The act or process of making amends. 2. something done or paid to make amends. Reparations. Compensation, esp. that required from a nation for damage inflicted during a war.
Many people are unaware that the struggle for Reparations for Africans in america is alive and well. You've heard the phrase "40 acres and a mule." The fact is that few if any slaves got either when they were granted "freedom." In fact, the quality of that "freedom" was not equivalent to the quality of the so-called whiteman's freedom; the two were world's apart.
And still are. While Black Africans in america on the whole "enjoy" a relative amount of "freedom," it is still a "freedom" that is probably half a century or more behind the freedom enjoyed (notice, no quotes in this context) by the so-called whites. The Black Nation in america has not recovered from the things that "happened so long ago." Because the things that happened so long ago are still happening today.
What follows is a list of links relating to Reparations. The list is forever growing, so prepare to be educated. The Reparations Movement is forever growing and gaining strength and momentum. Every African in america should demand it. And there's plenty of hope: the United Nations considers the issue a serious human rights issue, and not some scheme to defraud as most so-called whites believe.
Remember, Reparations is not a request; it's a demand.
